MyScizzle.com was a site that aimed to help researchers stay on top of the literature by setting up email alerts, based on key terms, for new papers. There was also a blog where graduate students and post-doctoral fellows could contribute articles about anything and everything relating to the latest scientific research or the experience of working in academia.
Unfortunately the site no longer exists, but here are the articles I had contributed to the site:
